Jamo is strong there (midrange). Good detail and soundstage too and I personally like the Jamo sound signature too. But the 607 lacks a bit in the bass... making it more comparable to the MA RS6/RX6.
If its only between the Jamo C607 and MA RS6/RX6... well it should be personal preference but I'd probably go with Jamo. But I sure would love a side by side audition between them.
Yes, Indeed the c607 by default has VERY weak lows. My e875's also suffered from weak lows so it's no surprise it's descendant the c607 suffers the same.
HOWEVER I've recently made a discovery that reignited my love for the e875's! I must tell you about it.
I sold my subwoofer last month and as expected the e875's bass was really lacking. So I had a look at the spec sheets of the towers and noticed something, being an bass reflex type of enclosure, normally 3 way speakers have just 1 low range. However the c607/e875 has not one but TWO low ranges. The spec sheets of the c607/e875 says lowest 32hz. 32 is very close to tactile subwoofer frequencies. They would not have quoted that for no reason.
So I asked myself this, it has power, it has the internal, components for it, but what if the lowrange drivers aren't getting enough signal to kick in. What if it needs exactly double the low range signal strength to compensate for the two woofers that are devouring a signal meant for one.
Since there is a crossover dedicated to low ranges, WHAT IF, I used my soundcards driver to double the exact low range frequencies crossover feeds to the lowrange woofers.
I went into my Asus xonar d2x control interface, increased the 30hz bar by 100% and the 60hz bar by 50% and BAM! The 2 lowrange woofers kicked in and started emitting subwoofer like tactile bass but unlike a subwoofer it was tight, VERY tight. Totally controlled. I think it's purely because of the size of the drivers why it's that tight and controlled. I loved it! No muddiness at all and the midrange was totally unaffected thanks to the crossover.
The e875 / c607's were reborn \o/
Comparing C607 with RX8 is like comparing apples and oranges.

hyeah:
Jamo's highest end D590 costs same as RX8. Though I never had a good enough demo of them, I dont think even they will compare.
While we can visualize the difference between BX6 to RX6 to RS8 to RX8 in the price range (subject to having a treated room), the difference between speakers from jamo concert series is in a much lesser scale. IMO.
uhh....I don't know who told you the d590 was their highest model....
It was not their high end even in the 1990's, the d870/concert 11 was.
The concert 11 can pretty much put to shame, chew it to bits and spit
out everything below 1.7lakhs even today. Including the entire new generation
of jamos or monitor audio or dali's.
