I don't see the option in my spotify settings. I will have to investigate this. Maybe the app needs to be updated. Don't know

Sir, looks like to reflect properly it may take more couple of days. as they stated, rollout continuing through October 2025...
Also it seems offered with 24-bit/44.1 kHz max for now. With this, do you see people prefer Spotify Premium than Apple Music - which is little less and 24-bit/192 kHz in offer....

From that article India isn't added yet to the list of countries for their October inauguration. Hopefully soon. Atleast the long awaited lossless streaming service has finally arrived on Spotify !

From the press release: “Lossless is rolling out gradually to more than 50 markets through October. Premium subscribers in Australia, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, the US, and the UK have already started to get access.”

that was until yesterday, now a days people targeting india for money. so, be positiveThey won't launch this service in India atleast not for the next 5 years.

44.1 Khz is more than enough 32 bit 192 Khz are meant for recording purposes.
The irony is that we have blazing internet speed in comparison to almost all those countries.
When will these services realise that the India market is several multiples of all those countries combined.

So some of us in this forum want Spotify lossless.
Also not known is how many people in India know about or care for lossless streaming of music.
Then there is the regulatory processes of making money in India and taking profits out by foreign owned companies.
Let’s not forget Qobuz is still not officially available in India. But regular Spotify (MP3 streams) has been available for a while now. Adding lossless streaming should not be too complicated?
I think it is the fact that in other countries they earn almost 4 times from one customer than what in India.

Spotify has mentioned that it is a global rollout and hence it will be available in India. Given the good amount of regional content that Spotify carries, it is highly unlikely that they would ignore Indian market.

From my perspective, it is not the interest speed. Indians are always reluctant to paying money for software services.
Most spotify users are free users. And then there are a ton of cracked spotify users who don’t afford Rs 130 a month for music. And many are hiding behind shared family plans across the friends circle. Above all these, the subscription charges are far less in India. Hence Indians don’t get much priority for anything.

There are plenty of those everywhere. All markets have their challenges - not just India.
Many of those users eventually become regular subscribers when their circumstances change.
