Synology: Checking Parity but for how long?

I just bought a new DS916+ and migrated two HDDs and added two more for expansion. Now this expansion has been going on for the last six days. It says 'Expanding (Checking parity consistency 75.35%)'. Is this even normal for a Diskstation to take this long for expansion?

Yes seems so. Just got done fifteen minutes ago. But strangely, it speeded up after 80%.
