hey aniket, it's not really blu-ray quality, because firstly it's 1080i and not 1080p and secondly they apply compression, whereas blu-ray is uncompressed. but yes it does look lovely by any objective standard.
Hey blwetorch, I got mine from Gokul Electronics Yerwada last week. Another member has got it from Yogiraj Electronics Pashan. You can try contacting them. Thanks!
It depends also on the TV that u got...I got a samsung series 6 40" and it just rocks in it...Can't get more real than that....Signal is 1080i.Rest depends on tv.
I have HD TV so what should I need any more to view HD Channels? Does Tatasky HD will provide all cables and other things?

^That's the point. The compression/bitrate limit degrades picture quality.I think 1080i vs 1080p signal on native 1080p display would be quite similar.
And blu-ray video is compressed. The only un-compressed part would be un-compressed PCM audio track, if provided.
The difference of TS HD vs Blu-ray would be the amount of compression / bitrate.

. Even though my 50" LG PQ60 is only HD Ready, the picture quality is amazing...
At least in the USA, "HD Ready" meant a TV that can display in HD but does not have a built in HD tuner / scaler, etc. Meaning, you cannot catch off the air HD broadcast and you'll need a STB. If this is the same terminology used in the Indian market, then why should the quality differ between HD Ready and HD TV?
They just swapped my It took around 10-15 min to boot it . The Installation guy told that it would take MAX 12 hrs to activate .
My initial review SD channels Brightened up a little , colours were better. Will get back with a full review
