Hi All,

Im planning to upgrade my Denon X2200w to the Yamaha A2080 or the other option is a 6400H.

I have a Paradigm 5.1.2 Setup with Monitor 9s v6 as fronts and Center 1.

Would it be worth the upgrade soundwise and everything wise ...?

Please comment..

Thanks

Sunny

6500 is an easy winner. The A2080 is just a 9.2 ch AVR and has only 7.2ch pre-outs. The 6500 is a 11.2 ch avr but will definitely cost you more. If 9 channels is all you need and want to save some money you can check out marantz 6013. But if you want more you can check out denon 4500,6500 and Marantz 7013. The yamaha will have a muscular sound stage. Denon and marantz will be on the softer side compared to yamaha.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
