V-FET's for Sony TA-4650 Integrated amplifier

A close friend of mine has a Sony TA-4650 V-FET amplifier. The output VFET's/transistors were blown and it is doing the duty as a pre-amp with some Rotel power amp.

Its my interest to fix the VFET's and bring the amp back running.

Any advise if I can get the Sony 2SJ18 and 2SK60 VFET's/ transistors in India or should I go with the ebay option to source these? They are available on UK ebay for 35 a pair.

Either way, get it REPAIRED!!! This Sony is from the fantastic Sony Products era, so it deserves to be alive & kicking :clapping:

Thanks denom. I too read some rave reviews on this amp.

This amp has been passed on to my friend recently from another friends dad who owns this since the 80's.

I'll try to source those VFET's and get the amp running. I'll use this thread to update the progress on this amp of course it would take few months to get it done.
