Videocon D2H HD DVR box capable of 1080p

Guys in TV settings option of the DVR box I changed HD Resolution option to AUTO from 1080i/60Hz.

What I noticed immediately is increased sharpness of HD as well as SD picture.

So I pressed Information(i+) button on my sony TV reomte and it's showing 1080p input signal.:yahoo::clapping::yahoo::licklips:

All HD Broadcast in India is 720p or 1080i.

The reason for this is 1080p requires a larger bandwidth to broadcast a signal in comparison to 1080i

If you have a bluray player connected to your TV -- then the bluray content is 1080p-- that would show up on your TV as 1080p

Broadcast HD channels (such as from your DVR box) should show up as 1080i or 720p

I know that..but box is upgrading/upscaling/refining the signal..cause it's delivering 1080p.

That's great to know..is it only for DVR or only without DVR HD as well?..I have a Videocon D2H HD only STB..

As of now only new 500 GB HD DVR box is capable of delivering 1080p.

Never expect a 1080p from Indian DTH
