I dont think you need to get any stuff from US for Room treatment. Per Sachin's method you need, Rockwool, plywood and fabric which all can be sourced locally.

Not Sure about Acoustic foam. Other members of the forum could reply.

You can download the freeware software TrueRTA Audio Spectrum Analyzer Software audio spectrum analyzer to check the room response with the bass trap. You will need a calibration mic and probably a sound card for the measurements. There is already a inbuilt pink noise generator available for the measurement. Please post the images of the spectrum after your measurement for all of us to see the difference.

Will try to do. Have the mic that came with pioneer avr, will use that and see if that works.
