Grand cinema quotes high prices at first, so tell them clearly that unless they give the best price, they wont be hearing from you again... Also check the denon site to see if they are authorized for service... I would recommend warranty anytime, especially for the avr...

I can't comment about audyssey, but ypao has been pretty accurate for my 3 speaker setup until now... (re checked the measured distances with tape, have to download some spl meter app and check the sound levels set by ypao)

When I was searching for a similar converter, I was suggested by a friend of mine that the converter will not work properly because HDMI has got 10 pins or 10 contacts or something like that and where as the RCA component 3 pairs. So it will not work. I may still be wrong but I thought it made sense.

Thanks. Just called both. Vipul has offered a call back as sir? was not available. Grand Cinema is quoting 51k as the best price and service would be done at their store, both during and after warranty. Now I have to think twice before buying it online or abroad! (one of my friends is going on a 2 weeks trip to Dubai)

I have not 'decided' on Denon as such but from what i've read, it seems to pair well with Polk. I only have a pair of Polk Tsi200 and a PSW110 SW now. I will be getting a pair of RTiA7s soon Also the X2000 has Audyssey MultEQ XT.

Just an observation.. MRP of Denon X2000 is 55,900 but is listed as 59,900 at ProFX. Thats about 7% more than MRP to begin with!

Final price I got in Ahmedabad 42k with Bill. So is it good rate? Or goes Lower.
