What would be your best pair of Bookshelf speakers for about 30k INR? Loving to find out the opinion of everyone here and their 2 cents on this topic.

Been checking Mission LX2 but I have no idea about them as I have never auditioned them before.

Right now, looking at ELAC, Wharfs (I had a pair of Diamond 9.1s), Mission speakers.

Open to get used items in the budget as well. Cheers!

For that budget, I guess you can add the Dali zensor 3 too.

Yes yes, these are competitors for the price bracket as well. Forgot to put them up. What's your take on the Mission?
Honestly I don't know. Have not heard any mission speaker, so cannot really comment on them. Do audition all the contenders with your own music and pick the one that sounds good to you.

I have a pair of mission LX2. They are definitely not budget speakers. They will give mist bigger names a run for their money including Elac and Dali.

Used Dali prices are ridiculous. Just because they have a name people are buying them for about 32k and selling them for 30k used. Not worth it. I sold a pair of Dali 3 for 20k and they were mint. But people will still sell them for a crazy profit margin. Because buyers are not well versed with prices and the demand is more than the supply.

I have been suggested to up my budget and get my hands on either a Dynaudio or a Dali from my cousin who has been into HiFi for quite sometime. But somehow really curious about the LX2.

Many people said it is giving Dali a run for its money.

As of now I was using a Wharf Diamond 9.1 I got very long back. Finally sold it and I have plans of upgrade. What's your honest take on the Mission paired with the Marantz? (Got it from your sig)

I have a review thread on the forum. Go through it. The LX2 cost half the price of the Dali. The sound and quality is definitely not. It's a fantastic looking speaker and sounds just as good. Very well finished. If u like the wharfdale u will like the signature of the mission cause they are from the same parent company.

Yep, went through your thread. You got it from Mumbai, how much did you pay for the pair?

Here's my 2cents on this, Am not sure whether you have thought of other options than a standard branded speakers and such,But If you are seriously interested some great sounding BS and Speakers in general then I suggest you pay a visit to the Speaker Guru in Bangalore and listen to some of his creations (Am not sure whether they are commercially available or offered, but a visit is a must none the less) to know what things are available on the other end of the spectrum (i,e not branded or such),PM me if you wish get his contact details.

PM'd you. Please check!

Dali Zensor 3 or Mission LX2? Didnt get to audition either and I know that without an audition it is just voicing out opinions but I would love to know your takes on it.

Is Z3 worth the extra money or get the LX2? Might be pairing it with a Maramtz amp (Not yet sure)

And I auditioned Mission MX2 and Dali Spektor 2, I found S2 to be a bit more dynamic (But less on bass?) and the MX2 slightly losing it in the mid range (But a bit tighter bass due to the bigger enclosure?) and a bit gloomy. But the amp was not an audiophile grade stereo amp. It was played through a Denon AVR.

Haha I usually am on a very tight schedule all day long making it almost impossible to head for any demos bhai.

My question is simple, if it was you, which would you go for, the Mission or the Dali? That's it. In the meantime I am trying for demos.

If I don't get to audition then I would have to prefer the pair with the universally-good reviews trusting the members of the forums and the Internet.

My Vote goes for KEF Q300 Speakers..
Well Suited in the Budget quoted..
What a Sound..
Lovely Vocals with plenty of Bass and Sweet Treble coming for those dual cone woofers.

Have not heard Mission ,so cant comment but re sale value of Dali is very very high in HFV

From my experience no body can tell how a speaker will behave in all scenario. Its completely depend on source to speaker also very important is the room placement. The same system will sound different from room to room the main observation is in bass department then comes mid bass.

Also you can check one model :- Pioneer SP-BS22-LR Andrew Jones Designed Bookshelf Loudspeakers which is a very good option you can check review in stereophile.com
