The Crossroads Guitar Festival, 2004 and 2007.

Organised by Clapton and featuring very wide ranging talent ...from our own Vishwa Mohan Bhatt to Steve Vai, Los Lobos, Earl Klugh, Eric Johnson, Buddy Guy, Santana, BB King and many other legends.

Top notch video and sound on the DVDs

Scorpions Acoustica ...not least because of the dancers.
I know that Schenker is the name that comes to mind when you say Scorpions but Matthias Jabs' guitar playing is too good. He makes it look so easy.....

Here are some that I've seen and liked, I know I'm forgetting more than just a few:

Not exactly a concert video but a pre-concert one

This is it - Michael Jackson is really, really good esp. the BD.

Hi,
I own a couple of live concerts in BR which I liked of course -

Madonna Sticky and sweet tour, This is it(MJ), Celine Dion A New Day , Hit Man David Foster and Friends(shot in Full Hd, amazing clarity), Shakira Oral fixation Tour....

Simon and Garfunkel - : The Concert in Central Park.
This recording has very good sound quality and takes the viewer to the concert. A lot of two channel audio lovers got converted to home theater after enjoying this concert.

River Dance
It's hypnotic at times and the Irish music really makes its mark.

I have really been impressed with the following concerts:

1. Songs from the Road - Leonard Cohen. Stunning capture, great sound. In fact, when I need to show off the sound from my stereo system, I show my friends this Blu-ray only.
2. Storytellers - Tom Petty - nice sound, though don't like the video quality that much.
3. Cunning Stunts - Metallica - amazing, amazing concert. Am waiting for them to release the Blu-ray.
4. Pulse - Pink Floyd - why isn't this on Blu-ray yet?!?!?!

kernel-popcorn,from your taste in music try:
1. A tribute to the King - a performance featuring, Knopfler, Clapton, Dave Gilmour , Ron Wood and many others jamming with Scotty Moore -great sound and pic quality-almost BD !

2. BB King - Lightning in a Bottle

3. BJH - The Concert for Berlin

4. Several Montreaux Festival concerts - you can almost never go wrong there!

Most of the others that I like are already covered by the others!

I do have some movie BDs ( non musical)that I am thinking of selling-all around 7c each - PM me if interested.

there is a blue ray out on the jam between jimmy page, the edge and the guy from white stripes (i think). it might get loud.

>Cunning Stunts - Metallica

i'm sure it was a pun where the switched the words/alphabets a bit :)
