Confused: Dish TruHD or Airtel HD - Need inputs

Hi All,

I am looking forward to upgrade from SD to HD soon. (Currently I am DISH TV customer). I started doing research for all the players in market and got more confused with difference in price range, HD channels available etc.

My requirements -
Looking for high quality HD content
Intended to watch primarily - Start movies, Times now, Sports pack, Colors etc.
Budget - Not more than 5K
DVR - Not required

I am inclined towards dishTru HD just because it offers 39 channels as listed in the website. Airtel HD is also much appreciated as per reviews.

You suggestions are most welcome. Thanks in advance !

At present Videocon offers the maximum number of HD channels - 22. Don't fall for the fake 39 HD channels claim by DishTV. They are mostly upscaled SD channels.

My experience with airtel has been awful. To me its a brand to avoid.

I tested videocon hd at the store i got the tv from and i found it to be good.

My neighbor owns dish hd with recorder and is not very impressed with it.

But all the people in my big circle know and trust TataSkyHD. Great product, awesome service. A little expensive but they have promo offers going now. 1800 for the HD box now.

By the way, i am a tatasky user for the last 6 years. Upgraded to HD last month. Loving it.
