"I Put A Spell On You" was originally recorded by Screamin' Jay Hawkins
There is an interesting back story to how this recording came to be.
Apparently, the song was written to be a melodious love song.
But during recording session, the producer brought in some fried chicken and loads of liquor.
The boozed up band and Screamin' Jay Hawkins created this song completely different from its original scope.
The creepy version did so well that it made Screamin' Jay Hawkins quite famous for his histrionics
Lots of artists over the decades have covered this one.
The version by Annie Lennox for "50 Shades Of Grey" OST is also wonderful
