Good cheap standard definition TV

My brother has shifted for the near future to Bangalore and needs to buy a tv. He will just attach the local cable line to it, not use it for any thing else. Tata sky, dish tv etc look bad on HD TV. Which normal tv should he apt for. Looking for good cheap solutions. Say from Rs. 5000- Rs. 25000.

thats a huge range 5K-25K !
well for a little over 5k you can get 21" CRT
for around 15K you can get a 29" CRT
and for 24K you can get a Panasonic 32" LCD (Big Bazaar price)

Why not buy used?
Use it for a few yrs and then upgrade.
29" CRT should be cheap.

Thats not entirly true, anyhow if you have a budget of 25K you might as well get an LCD(which would not be a HDTV)............., thats what I think atleast......

He just needs it to watch the world cup and is borrowing a tv from the landlady. Simple solution.
