Hitachi 32S01A vs Sony 32v-series

Folks, need to choose between Hitachi 32S01A and the Sony 32" v-series. I saw both the TVs and the Hitachi seemed to have a better viewing angle. The salesman said that this is because Hitachi uses iPS panels. In terms of the SD picture of Tata Sky, both seemed quite good on both the TVs.

Sony claims the Bravia engine enhances piture quality. Can someone please explain what actually is this Bravia engine?

I will using this TV to watch mostly Tata Sky and sometines movies through DVD
