how to change videocon HD stb

i have the black normal HD stb of videocon d2h , and its got some issues .

1) sony HD channel voice keeps breaking now and then for split second and its got some picture snow when it happens on a regular basis too

2)zee studio HD , there is a voice sync issue

in 3-4 days i have to recharge my account , and i can recharge it with even full year option

can i get the new model stb's either 2222 or 555 one by any way?

call center and service center deny ..............they say only black box will be given .

i am still under warranty and i need dolby digital voice only over HDMI cable ...........and am getting it right now .

anybody please share your opinion and experiences :)
 
well... I have the white hd box and m looking for the black hd box because the white hd box is RF and my harmony 700 does not work with it as it has IR.

is there a way to get the white hd nox replaced to black ?

Since all your other channels are received perfectly, I Dont think there is Anything Wrong with the STB.

The problem ( if its not poor connections on yr STB) will probably be in the Transmission of the channel and the SAME issue will reflect in all other Videocon subscribers.... White or Black box :eek:
Maybe a good idea if you can check with rana_kirti if he too has the same problems for the channels mentioned by you ?

There is also a small chance that yr Videocon Dish / LNB alignment has shifted, leading to the issue mentioned by you.

Would be Great to receive feedback from both you guys
 
Even I have the issues of lip sync and sometimes the STB not responding to the remote buttons or the other way around. I called up the service engineer and he says that its out of warranty (purchased in July 2012) hence the new boxes (555 or 2222) will be charged for replacement of around 2k. I opted out and asked him to verify the more serious issue of STB getting hanged and restarting sometimes. He said that there might be a problem with the power adapter and that it costs 400 for replacement. I have not got it changed but still living with it.
 
I also found lip sync issue in some Zee Studio HD movies in my white box. The white box is innovative but the user interface and remote control are a pain to use.
 
Have not watch mush of Zee studio HD, but i have not faced any such issues on other HD channels, have watched Movies now and Star movies in HD, did not face any issues.
 
I was also facing the stuttering effect on Sony HD channel, the problem was solved by replacing the HDMI cable. The cable that comes with the STB doesn't seem to be of good quality. Try replacing with branded cable.

Was stuttering was caused only on Sony HD channel alone? What about lip sync? Is it possible because of hdmi cable too?

I observed the stuttering effect in Sony HD, I have not observed lip sync issue. The problem might get solved by replacing the HDMI Cable.



Also is hdmi cable under warranty for 1 year just as stb?

I don't know about the warranty of the cable, but the service engineer replaced it with brand new one, try calling CC and convince the service guy to change cable. They may do it...
 
There's a shocker came yesterday.

Service center guy 1st changed hdmi cable and problem still was not solved, then he changed the STB too and.......... Problem is still there exactly as it was.......... Although this stb is again a faulty in some other way......... Keeps getting black after half an hour.

What's the issue then? I have stb connected to my soundbar 1st and then from soundbar to the tv
 
My soundbar to tv hdmi cable is from belkin

I didnt try to change that yet....... And shocker is that same channels have same issues Still

Omit the sound bar and connect directly and check. Use the Belkin cable to test this.
