Hyderabad HFV meet ? Interest check

Please see attached from the Mumbai meet thread (Denom - I hope you don't mind if I borrow your pics), for their proposed hall. IMO something like this will work very well, wherein the equipment can be set up along the wall where the screen is and people can sit auditorium style facing the equipment. A rectangular hall is what I am suggesting. If the hall has a podium, even better. Though one concern for this type of an arrangement, BS & small speakers will have to be arranged towards one side with more nearfield listeners.

Thanks Tanoj.. Hotel and facilites look good. And 600/- looks like a reasonable fee too.
Between the people who have updated the excel or replied on the thread with a yes, we have close to 25. But lets have a round of confirmation again with the fees.
Is this available on the 11th ?

Also lets check with Sameer , Pandu and others if they have a better venue option.

In Tanoj pictures,the flooring looks like glossy granite floor and side walls are bare. We need to visit the site and explore the possibility to cover the floor.

@Tanoj - Thanks for taking the effort on photos and info. Good pricing and nice hall, but I tend to agree with Sameer. The granite/tile floor will be acoustically undesirable.

The board room tariff is Rs10,000/- for 6 hours without Food.

Food is available at the restaurant between 11a.m and 3.30p.m

Food Charges:
North Indian Non-veg Thali 185/-/Person
South Indian Non-veg Thali 155/-/Person

North Indian Veg Thali 135/-/Person
South Indian Veg Thali 110/-/Person


IMO It's better to leave food option to the participants.

I concur with you Sameer. IMO this is a good option - we get the hall, where we can set up and listen and participants who want to eat can step away. No waiters coming in and out of the room - so no outsiders to mess with the audio equipment, no spillage etc - Food pricing appears reasonable as well. If we can get 20 participants to sign up @ Rs.500, at-least in my view this is a solid option.

I agree Sachin. We need to move to the next step which is getting firm commitment from the participants by depositing the funds and booking the hall. Is 11th December the date of the meet?

Out of 12 who have updated the excel

6 are ok with 11 or 18
4 are ok with only 11
2 are ok with only 18

So based on numbers it looks like 11th is most suitable so far.

We need all of the people to update the sheet to final the date and confrom for next steps.

I have requested the banquet manager to send few more pictures and further discount on the tariff.

Its better if we have TV provided by Hotel mgmt, if its possible.

Good news ! .Hotel Kens Banquet Manager agreed to offer the Banquet Hall for Rs8000/- (Including Taxes) For 6 hours.

We need to pay 25% i.e Rs2000 for confirmation.Another payment of 25% on 9th November.Remaining 50% on 11th Nov.Before the Event.

I request at least two members to join me Between 6p.m and 8.00p.m today for inspection of the Hall and to make the initial payment.
