Hyderabad HFV meet ? Interest check

Sid, this looks perfect. Lets work on finalizing. I can setup a live meeting Tuesday evening, I think good way to get inputs from more people.
Thanks Sachin - sounds good:) We can meet on tuesday and after working out the details of system pairings and potential location in the single/ divided hall, post it here, so participants can arrive with a good understanding of the systems they will be setting up/listening to. Also if multiple participants have components of a similar category and synergy, they can pair them up to form complete systems.
Also I request all the participants so far to suggest tracks they want to listen to - there are none listed in the sign up sheet. We have to figure out how/where we can meet to get these tracks onto 1 test cd from the originals for the purpose of audition.
My tracks:
1. Patricia Barber - Pieces from Verse Album
2. Freddie Hubbard -Luana from Hub Cap
If each participant can suggest 1 or 2 tracks that will add up to 10 or 20 tracks and approx. 70-90 min of music which can be evaluated on 4 systems (appears that is what we will end up with based on the sign up sheet) for a total of approx. 280-360min of audition time which is equal to the 6 hours the hall is booked for. BTW these are just my thoughts - if others have ideas please contribute. Also please note I have not talked about video here, and hope the participants who want to audition Video are planning their own setup. Not sure how video quality can be judged though as making the room dark is going to be a challenge. Overall the Goal is to have a great day of fun and music.
Cheers,
Sid

In addition to my last post - did not want to make the last one too long:
From analysis on the components posted, these pairing are what I would recommend (Again just my thoughts):
System 1:1. Source/transport: Oppo BDP 93
2. DAC: Dac magic/Caiman
3. Amp: Rotel RA06
4. Speakers: Quad 11l2
System 2:1. Source/transport: Squeezebox or HTPC
2. DAC: Dac magic/caiman
3. Amp: NAD 325
4. Speakers: PSB image B6
Also these two systems above can share components during their respective demos. if the owners feel that there can be synergy.
System 3:
1. Source transport: Rega Apollo or TBD
2. DAC: Part of source, no external DAC
3. Pre: Belcanto pre 3
4. Power: Belcanto S300
5. Speakers: B&W N805
System 4:
1. Source & amplification same as system 3
2. Speakers: Usher mini dancer
I have not included cables and other accessories - suggest participants bring their own cables & accessories. Also please note I have not included any of the rcvrs. or HTIB/Video components in this list.
Cheers,
Sid

Finally - this is my last post on this topic I promise:lol::
Since there is only 1 floor stander - the usher diamonds -I suggest they be placed in the larger portion. Any video or HT can occupy this hall as well. We can also use this hall for discussion purposes etc.
The remaining 3 can be placed in 3 corners of the small room. Between now and 9th if there are any more components added, we can locate them appropriately. The purpose is that participants will know before hand where they have to locate their systems and can proceed there directly on 11th, hopefully arriving at the venue slightly early. This will reduce confusion and conserve set up time thus giving more time to listen to music.
I also encourage participants bringing components to go the hall in advance of 11th so they can get an idea of what I am referring to - if they can spare the time.
Cheers,
Sid

Thank you Sidvee.
The system classification is very practical. Now its much easier to place them in relevant locations in the event halls.
IMO Systems 3 & 4 need a decent source and I will bring Ayon CD2 to replace Rega Apollo.

We can also demonstrate Ayon CD2 as stand alone DAC With a Laptop & M2Tech HiFace.

Apart from these 4 systems, lets plan space for 1 or 2 more systems.
My efforts are still on to get a HiFi dealer with decent system and contribution to meet our expenses.

Cheers
