the power red light is blinking, but the tv is not turning on

can you pls advice what might be the problem
i have tried turning it on manually also, but it did not work

Possible Motherboard (HDMI) Failure.. The same issue happened to me on my Sony TV.

Log a service call with LG, let the technician check it.. Hope it is in warranty period.

Elangoas, what can be done to avoid such motherboard HDMI related issues? Should we reduce connecting HDMI peripherals to TV? Any precautions that can be taken?
@huntersingh: Hope it is under warranty and its not any issue with motherboard.

no hdmi is not the problem i think
the problem is in starting up the tv
the tv is not staring at all
just that the red light is blinking

That is a discussion from last year.

If you are facing the same problem it is a motherboard failure.
Typically the repair involves changing the motherboard.

Could this be the solution for my tv as I have the same tv, it won’t recognise any hdmi connections , antenna or DVD. The picture has lots of squares on it sound not good either. Has my tv just blown up or are we able to fix it
