Need Help on buying Headphones under 7k

anubhav, now you are not helping in reducing my 'buyers remorse'!

But, back on topic, SR80i though open, has a sound entirely different from that of the AD700 and to an extent the M50s.

Will u suggest going for the SR80i 's ?? as u know my requirements .
Clear vocals , decent mids highs treble , deep punchy low frequency bass .
Almost something that can put a smile on face , no matter whatever u play .
Closed back or open back , are not an issue at all , as have to listen in my own separate room :)

Hmm i guess i need to audition M50's somewhere in delhi .

Well , do keep a check if u can find me a buyer for my IEM's

My personal choice would be the M50s for you.

hi buddy , whats happening ??
I actually PM'ed u to ask ur verdict on ur AD700's ??
I am planning to buy the same , as what i am planning to hear is most suitable with them only .
Well , temme how well is there fit ?? long term wearing comfort ?? easily driven directly by sansa fuze ??
and bass notes in music is present or absolutely missing ?? talking about the low frequency deep bass .

As u had recommended the M50's , i did a lot of R&D , no doubts they have plenty of positive reviews , but some ppl complaing about they gettin hot in just 15mins of listening , ears sweating and bass way too much , though thumpy not boomy but it distracts the listener after a while .

Now do a short comparison for me b/w AD700 and M50's .

Hey Anubhav, your post in my thread pointed me back to here ;). BTW, I've been using both AD700 and M50. Both are comfortable to wear for the initial phase of listening(say an hour). But the M50 does gets a bit sweaty due to the leather covering but the AD700's are very comfortable even after a long wear(comparatively). But still they (M50) are not that uncomfortable as it made out to be. I've used them for some long sessions of playing games and probably I'm used to them now. Yes, they do have more bass than the AD700's and they are sounding better and better as the time is passing by.

Thanks a ton , for ur valuable inputs . It was great to hear it from someone who has both of them in hand , so ur comparison between the two is actually real .

Well , i am ok with both of them as of now , need to add both of them to my collection . In any case u are willing to sell either of the two , do PM me .
