OLED TV's price/best quote thread

no Bravia 9 65" in Ind, only in Bravia 7(which is way overpriced for what it offers), Samsung S95F/LG G5 65" is cheaper in Ind than anywhere else in the world.
I have always bought Sony TVs due to reliability, my current OLED lasted 7 years before its screen gave out (I expected at least 10, but hey). Do I get similar reliabilities with Samsung or LG? Just asking, because I am very tempted to go with G5.

Check out the latest RTINGS 2 year TV longevity test. There is no correlation between brand on tv failures. They all start to fail at same time.

Sony has great sdr performance and best upscaling, so still a great tv.

Some folks on youtube and reddit are saying that TCL C6K, C8K not good for sports.

TVs lasting more than 5yrs is a luxury these days, only Sony models which are worth their premium are Sony Bravia 8 II and Sony Bravia 9,
stay away from Bravia 2/3/5, Samsung QC been hit/miss for the last 5 yrs so only option is LG in premium segment, budget option is TCL C8k 75" which can be had for around 1.5L offline or in Flipkart for around 1.36L with card discounts

I can test it, if you can give me an example clip
I have macbook pro m1 and few lg monitors and s95f
Also iphones and pixel phones.

should be easy to compare with a given clip.
Like I said, I have only read about it, don't have a first hand experience.
Therefore, I don't have any reference clip to share. If you have the TV, and if you could share your experience, that would be great.
Thanks for extending your help.

I have a c2 going strong with 12k hours and have a g4 65 with around 3.5k hours going strong. Highly recommend the g5 if you aren’t putting it against sunlight

So even a splurge on a Bravia 9 might not last 5 years?

LG offers 5yrs warranty. Just take that and move on.
Do the warranty only apply for G5 only or the company provide C5 with 5 year warranty too?
Need some confirmation from you guys.

And I asked around in Croma and Bajaj Electronics stores both in Hyderabad for LG C5 55”
Croma - 1.38L (After all discounts)
Bajaj - 93K (After all discounts)

Why the huge difference though I’m unable to understand?

I already did that. CC said C8K is not launched in India yet!!!
TCL sales channel setup is a mess, at-least in Mumbai.
C8K has launched in India and people have picked it from the TCL Brand Store directly. I personally know one who picked a 75 inch in Bengaluru TCL Brand Store. You can keep following Maharshtra Electronics or Vijay Sales for prices in Mumbai.

With out demo very hard to compare...
In 77" segment Can TCL C8K comparable with Bravia 9? if that is too much, how about with LG G5 or C5...
If any one got latest festival offer prices for LG G5 , LG C5 , Bravia 9 , TCL C8K (1.8L as some one said) please do share in 77". Thanks in advance.
You can check comparisons of Bravia 9, Bravia 7, QM8K/C8K, QM7K/C7K in the Stop the FOMO YT channel. He compares these TVs with a Reference Monitor as well. C8K is almost at par with Bravia 9 and is better than Bravia 7 definitely. Sony's upscaling and sports performance is better but I am using a Nvidia Shield Pro to negate that disadvantage when using a Non-Sony TV. C8K is 1.6-1.7L for 75 inch with all deals and cashback offers and Bravia 9 is 3.25-3.4L with all cashback offers. I know Sony is good but can't justify double the price. TCL in 2025 is not the TCL of old and has upped their game.

probably this is the first time TCL is releasing their flagship models in India for almost the same price/time in US/Eur, just wish they offered 3 yr warranty as standard to build confidence

More than the splurge, when RGB Mini LEDs and next gen tech hit in a year's time ,the urge to upgrade will always be there in 2-3 years time frame.
I am not a videophile, I only upgrade/buy when my previous TV dies.
Sony is offering 3 yrs warranty as festival offer, again I wouldn't spend that much on mini-led when you can get bigger OLED for the same price.
My room has lot of reflections and is quite bright with mostly daytime viewing, my current OLED was not bright enough to counter, therefore am preferring miniLED, but perhaps OLEDs have improved in the past 7 years and are brighter. I don't know.

Watch a cricket match C8k before you buy it, track the ball
Folks are saying motion issues with baseball and such
Some guy on youtube made a video for c6k/q6c and the ball motion is horrible.

Samsung s95f is great for that, it has a matt finish, so reflections will be less of an issue.

This is getting me worried and thinking of dropping the idea of getting the c8k 75in and get the g5 65in instead
