That is a total rip of price. This projector was selling for approx. Rs. 60000/- almost 2 yrs ago.

Arun - there have been reports of lamp flickering with this PJ, there are whole lot of it over the internet. Just thought you should know.

Also with little more addition to your budget you could go 1080P. Espon, optoma etc could be some options.

yes my pj has flicker. They don't bother me much, but when I an conscious, they drive me nuts. I have always run it in non eco mode but it didn't help. I even verified it later that it is in non eco mode, and changed it as Ashish suggested, but no improvement.

At this price you could go in with a Optoma HD-20 or with some more money you could buy Mitsuibishi HC-3800 both are full HD projectors and the Mits. model also supports anamorphic image.
