Folks, am I thrilled!!!?
Guys, after spending two whole days across five different "music rooms" all through the city, allow me to sound like a G-U-R-U...just like you!!!!!!
...jokes aside, who needs an AVR?!
I felt so different when the same CD was played via a "Class A" amplifier. It sounded not just beautiful, it I could really F-E-E-L it. Therefore, my first learning is no AVR, but a 2.1 channel with a class A amplifier should be invested for music. By the way the amplifier I am raving about was a Sudgen Maestro; I forget the serial number.
While I have been firm about the Quad speakers, I heard a set of two towers called Totem. They are from Canada. Guys, they sounded really good; ofcourse I dont know about the technical stuff between Quad & Totem, but if you will please educate me on this.
Finally, cambridge audio has these small speakers, 5.1 ofcourse, that are called Minx. These are almost like the Bose speakers and these could be put in place for the AV/movies bit. In sum, class A and 2.1 for music; and the MINX tiny ones for movies with an AVR like Yamaha 671.
I really feel thrilled to write so much as if I know that much!!!
I MUST THANK YOU GUYS FOR PUSHING ME, TEACHING ME, SHARING WITH ME AND FINALLY HELPING ME TO COME TO SOME CONCLUSION.
Now feel free to chew up all that I said and give me something better.
Cheers!!!!!
