Tata Play Fiber business connection quality any better than home plans?

Got a call from a Tata sales guy asking me to move my 1gbps connection from home to business plan.

Wanted to ask, is there any difference in the "quality" of the connection? Meaning any improvement in speeds (to far away servers), pings, routing etc?

I know about the typical marketing benefits and drawbacks (no OTT, free static IP, 10tb FUP, faster complaint handling, GST credit etc) just wanted to see if any improvement in the actual connection itself.

The guy is from "tata play fiber business solutions" not tatatelebusiness.com his email ID is @ tataplayfiber.com - but I will confirm...

He says ring fiber. Is it to home or to building? Ring fiber is usually when you have two lines coming in from two different routes leading to better stability in case one goes down.

Apart from that, I don’t see any other benefit

yeah the ring fiber is like even farther away some place at some main junction point, nowhere near building haha...

im mainly interested in the "quality" improvement, if any, with biz connection, like better pings/routing, upload/download speeds to far-away servers etc... i am thinking of just taking the 3-month plan to try anyway and test it out myself.

Tata has seperate verticals to handle consumer and business connections. You can expect better quality and faster restoration in case of disruption. I have worked in Tata Communications 5 years ago -- so based on that I am saying this. But no actual experience of using their business connection myself

Switching to Tata Play Fiber’s business plan will not make your 1 Gbps connection faster in terms of raw speeds, ping, or routing to faraway servers. The “faster and more reliable download/upload” claim primarily refers to better uptime, SLA-backed service, priority support, and possibly reduced network congestion, not to actual speed improvements. Unless you need benefits like a static IP, higher FUP, or GST advantages, the connection quality itself will be essentially the same as your home plan.
