WDTV1 - Audio Issue

Hello all

In order to play 5.1 DTS WAV audio files in WDTV, i wrapped the files in a Matroska wrapper (.MKA) using MKVMerge.

The file plays fine in WDTV and my AV receiver recognizes the format and outputs as 5.1 DTS. So far no issue, however after every 4 minutes it gets stuck and the audio is all chatter. I then have to press the forward button for a second and then it resumes playing fine. This pattern continues every 4 minutes.

Any ideas or workaround for this problem.

There may be problem in mkv convertion.
You may try firmware upgradation.

Try any old version MKV merge to do the job .....sometimes the new version 4 2 2 is giving problem.......try version 3 0 0

Thanks. I downloaded the version 3.0.0. Will try with this version and get back to you with the result.

Currently i am using version 2.9.8

@zorro: Did you try updating the WD TV Firmware?
