Last weekend i bought from CTC (near Paradise) for 7200/-. I checked some other stores in HYD but i found it was the best deal. May be u can check some others too.

I have a Phillips HTS3544, it has only a co-axial input (not optical in).
If i want to connect my WD TV media player and get DTS and DD 5.1 sound, will an optical to co-axial converter work for it?
Will my Phillips HTS3544 decode DTS and DD?

If so, where can i get optical to co-axial converter in Hyderabad? Any one have this kind of setup? Will it work fine or sound quality loss?

The concept of digital ins without decoding DD and DTS sounds a bit silly to me . I think It should be able to decode Dolby Digital as well as DTS. However check it out to be 100% safe just in case.....

I hope it wont show some error like this file cant be played (just bcoz its 1080p )!!

Yes, it will play. From manual:

If you are using a CRT TV, navigate to the Home | Settings | System screen and:
- Make sure that the Composite option is selected as the video output.
- Make sure the TV system setting matches the system used in your region.

Yes. madbullram currently uses one and the convertor works just fine. MX imports these convertors from Taiwan. The price quoted on the phone was around 1200 excluding taxes with 1 year warranty. The other option is to source it from US. Amazon has this convertor listed and if you can get it through someone coming from the US, it'd be a cheaper option.

There is a person on the Techenclave forum who can source anything you want from the US (katmandude) and charge a service cost for it. The amazon product would cost you around 1150 through that source + shipping at actuals.

Did you try Reliance Digital, Croma and X-Cite? These 3 are the best sources for Hi-Fi and HT cables ranging from the superexpensive to the budget ones.

You can order it through Amazon via the dealers on techenclave.com (katmandude is the name of the dealer). The charges would be similar to getting it shipped from Mumbai.
