What is the impedance of Norge Millenium Speakers (BS) ?

Hi Ppl,

I am planning to get Norge Millenium Speakers (BS) for my Marantz receiver SR5200 which is capable of handling 6 Ohms - 16 Ohms. When i checked with one of the dealear in Chennai, he states Norge Speakers are 8 Ohms impedance. But Reviews on AV Max magazine state that it is a 4 Ohm speakers.

I have a serious doubt if it is 4 - 8 Ohms compatibe Or Only 4 Ohms Compatible. Will i be damaging the amplifier if i pair up this combination ? Please help :sad:.

Not sure about effect of pairing, but Norge millenium speakers are rated 125W at 4 ohms.

The lesser the impedance the more difficult it is for the amp to drive the speakers, if your amp is not rated for 4 ohms than don't drive a 4 ohms speakers.
