I've been in the market for a mini projector for a couple of weeks and I'm closing in on a couple. AAXA Technologies ST200 looks like a good deal and their products have pretty good ratings and reviews. Acer's C205 is about the same price and is suppose to be brighter. Anyone have inputs on any of these models? Or can anyone direct me to a better one?

Why dont you look at some of the latest PICO projectors . Personally , am looking forward to importing a LG PF1500 from UK . Looks like the best bet right now .

I actually took a look at the LG PF1500 and a few others at the higher end but those are way above my price range for now. I did find AAXA's ST200 on Amazon for a a good deal and there's a video of the quality on youtube. Do you think the resolution and brightness is enough for a family room?

Asus also has one that is also in the range I would like to be in and I've heard good things about this model as well.

I think I will be choosing between one of these. Which one do you think is a better deal? Thanks for the help!

Hi,

I know it's been a while. But I am wondering if you've tried any model.

I am currently considering purchasing a projector to substitute TV for video and gaming. I am a student and have to move out of campus in 3 months. Moving a big TV screen doesn't sound fun. I am looking for a decent size projector so that I can use it for my study group occasionally as well. Would like to know your experience. Thanks.

Hi,

Though I didn't get the answer to my question, I would like to share my experience of the projector purchasing.

I came across the brand AAXA, which is not as fancy as BenQ or Optoma but got ranking on a couple of projector reviews. The price is relatively cheaper than the big names.

I purchased two models from Amazon (since they have free return): P2A and M5. There is a big price gap: $250. Of course, I would prefer the cheaper one if it looks OK. However, the P2A is a bit disappointing since it needs me to turn off all lights at night. But the M5 looked perfect. The video quality is good, and I love the size. I brought it to my friend's place easily, it is super suitable for a double-screen gaming night!

It's been a while since I checked my account. Yeah, I ended up with AAXA ST200, but I didn't really use it a lot. It was too dim. The product feels a bit cheap, too. I don't know about M5, but I would not recommend this brand to my friends.

Optoma, BenQ, Epson, LG, all of them have pretty good small and fairly priced products. I would suggest people check those.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
