Is the Audyssey calibration in Denon better than Onkyo? Is the difference really huge? I read that Onkyo's auto calibration is not that good and Denon has it good.

Also, has anybody tied their setup with Front Height or Front Wide speaker setup? Does it make a huge difference to the sound, specially in smaller rooms?

Is the price of 608 gone up? I have got an indicative price of 41K from Onkyo showroom sometime in January. Was that part of some discount sales to push numbers and its withdrawn now?

The Audyssey calibration coming along with Onkyo is on par with that on Denon, I would say. At least for me it worked wonderfully. The results are so good. I don't have to tweak anything more as I hear it already at it's best. There may be an improvement which is hard to notice. I don't think anyone will say Onkyo's calibration feature is bad but I read people saying the Denon's version is an improved one compared to Onkyo's.

I suggest instead of Front Height use the biamping.

What does biamping do? Does biamping or Front Height or Wide make a lot of difference to the output?? Why I wanna know that is, bec I wanna see if its worth investing the extra bucks in getting a 7.1 instead of 5.1 system? I know 7.1 is future proof, but I dont see myself getting a room big enough to be able to use Surround Rear speakers in the near future (say 3-5 years). And after that much time I am sure we would have moved on to 9.1 or 11.1 as standard ! So rather I can invest in better speakers or a better TV set !
