AVR Pricelist

Thanks for the quick reply, my first preference would be to go for
one with Indian mains voltage (220V). If not Avenue what are the other options I have? Whats the best price for NR609 anyone has got?

Regarding the speakers I thought if I get a good deal on the receiver I would buy it now and buy the speakers later after I save up some money and do some research.

Amazon.de is the best option if you are looking for 220 V electronics.
They ship through UPS. and my 609 reached in sharp 5 days.
Will cost you around 32 K. (including everything).
I am yet to know the actual customs duty and will revise the price if they refund some thing !

the following are the quotes from a bombay based dealer with whom i was trying to work out a groupbuy deal. However i am longer interested in continuing with the group buy given the response on the forum so am posting the price here for your future reference.

Guys its possible to get your dream avr/amp in india at not too different a rate from the one in us. Research and make lots of inquiries and ask for a discount from wherever you are buying an equipment as the following price list should be a benchmark.

Most of the models below apart from the yamahas were on a groupbuy price but the difference in cost even when its not on a group buy shouldnt be much.

Btw these quotes are with bill and a one year warranty and not grey market rates so wherever you buy your setup from always insist on a b&w.

Cheers and wish you the best !

Hi! Need to know which av processor to buy, I am using a marantz av8003 and have an itch to upgrade. I listened to an anthem d2v and didn't find a big difference between the two but the price is 4 times more. Can anyone suggest an av processor unto 500K. Thanks!

Have got a quote of 42k for Denon 1912 and 39k for Pioneer 1021. Both with bill and warranty. Are these the best prices I can get in Chennai?

I auditioned Denon 1912, Pioneer 1021 and Onkyo TX-NR609 but finally settled for Yamaha RX-V671. It had the best soundstage and offers a pure direct mode which makes it a great stereo amplifier as well. Yamaha also offers the widest connectivity option.
Pioneer had more power but poorer fidelity compared to Yamaha.
Denon was better than Pioneer and I suggest you go for Denon only if you intend to use airplay.
Onkyo was way too expensive and did not offer anyting extra for the price except a THX certification.

did the denon 1912 had audyssey setup done to it while you auditioned it ?

I would say with audyssey setup it sound way different than without audyssey....you will be surprised how gr8 it will sound with music too :)

@saj2001ind - 40k is a good price. I'd really give it serious thought if Denon came to the same price as the Pioneer.

@Kannan - Where in Chennai did you audition them all under one roof? I had to go to Audio People in T Nagar for the Pioneer, ProFX Mount Road for Denon and Onkyo Showroom in Poes Garden for Onkyo. I skipped past Onkyo simply because I had a bad experience with my old Onkyo and no AirPlay. AirPlay is a must for me so its either the Pio or the Denon.

Yes. I however preferred the Yamaha.

Is it worth skipping on warranty if your saving 12k? Amazon.de ships the Denon to Chennai for 29k. Which I think is a steal. But on the down side no warranty.
