Please let me know the best price for this in Bangalore.

Also will be thankful if you could give lessor priced alternatives to above model.

Thanks and Regards, Amit

Hi visit profx.com prices are given on the internet. Factor 10-12% discount for best price on the MRP.

What discount should I expect on MRP? I am looking to buy Wharfedale Diamond 10.7 in Gurgaon, and the MRP being quoted is Rs 64,000 a pair. Appreciate any guidance! You guys rock!!

The extra 5k is not worth for VSX-1122-K. Not only Pioneer, most of the AVRs video processing/upscaling does make no difference. I do not know why all the reputed brands are trying to fool us ??? It is a really a waste to have video upscalers in AVRs.

Agree with shanmune. I have Denon 2310. Upscaling is useless and i felt it actually made the original SD signal look worse. I tried to upscale the SD signal from Cable TV and DVD. It created crap images. My TV is a 50" Sony Bravia rear projection TV. The SD and DVD images look better without any upscaling.

I heard Oppo 105 upscaling is slightly better. Never seen it though.

I agree. The VSX-922-K should cut it but I've already ordered one. Found Pioneers on sale at Pro Fx Bangalore. They had an LX series too. I did not ask for pricing but their offer for the 922 was 38K. 4K more than the best price I was offered.

Guys, which is the best place in town (Chennai) to get AVRs? I am looking to change my old Yamaha 459 receiver (non-HDMI model. 2007) to either a Denon 2113, Pioneer 1122, or Yamaha 673.

The following are the best prices I have got till now:

Yamaha RX-V673: 49k at Cinebels, Chennai / 55k at Yamaha Music Square, Chennai!
Denon AVR-2113: 46k at ProFX Chennai, 43.5k at another dealer (smaller place), and 45k at Cinebels Chennai
Denon AVR-1713: 34k at ProFX Chennai, and 33.5k at the other dealer and 33k at Cinebels Chennai

I have Yamaha NS-8390 front 3-way tower speakers and the NS-P60 centre and surround speaker package, purchased in 2010 June.

Look forward to your responses!

---Regards,
Venkat

Forgot to add that I got a price of 44k for the Pioneer VSX 1122 receiver. This is a very well-specced and feature-loaded unit with excellent connectivity. I am inclined towards this, but the Yamaha 673 is also a very highly rated unit by What HiFi magazine.

Sort of confusing.

Recently one forum member bought Pioneer for 40k . You may want to check with him?

Hmm. I tried, but maybe the max the guy would go down to is about 42 or 43k. Not a chance that I can get the unit for 40k. Sandeepmohan is lucky I guess! 40k is an amazing price for that top end Pioneer VSX-1122 model.
