You can't get the Yamaha 673 for 34k. No chance. You can't get even the 473 for that price. Somehow, Yamaha AVRs seem to as/more expensive than even Denon AVRs. Pioneer AVRs seem to be superb VFM right now with max features and connectivity.

673 - best price I got in Chennai was 49k (55k from Yamaha Music Square)

Wow. 24k for the Yamaha 473 is a very good price. Yamaha Music Square in Chennai quoted me the MRP as 37,490 and their best price as 35,235. So that's a difference of 11k! Does AvenueSound offer it with bill and warranty? How is the price so low? 24k is amazing for that model and totally worth it. It's a steal in fact.

As i mentioned above they import from US, but they told me that they some kind of tie up with yamaha service centre in chennai. The price includes the step down transformer too....

Wow. Yamaha 673 for 38k? But 110V as you mentioned. So I'd have to invest in a step-down transformer. How much would that be? 5 or 6k at least? So in effect, I'd save around 4k. How is it that the 110V model is being offered with bill and warranty in India?

All prices from avenue sound are inclusive of a steps down convertor & 1 year warranty... It's a great way to save some money & Ashish is a great guy to deal with...
