Bought home an EPSON TW6000 3D projector

Congrats Renjith for Purchase, loved TW6000 during demos.

I was also thinking of getting TW6000 but after some reviews and demo, zeroed in to TW5900 from UK.

The advantage TW6000 brings is in the brightness [which should help 3D], and the contrast ratio; but thought TW5900 should complement me.

My house construction is going on and this one is for my Home theater which will be completely blacked out which means 2000 Lumens and 20000:1 contrast ratio should work well.

Ordered for one pair of Epson 3D glasses [GBP 76] and one pair of Panasonic Active shutter glasses [GBP 44].

Bought Sony BDP-S790 as well. Projector and Blu-ray player reached my Home but waiting for the 3D glasses.

Okay, now here is a sizable population having Epson 3010, so it would be nice to start posting about tweaks etc.

The major tweak we all can do is try checking the convergence of the LCD panels. Epson 3010 has a hidden menu, where it allows us to do LCD alignment. This is the post below for Epson 5010 to unlock the menu. it also works on Epson 3010.

Thaks Manoj. I was also closely following that thread...Initially before planning to buy Epson 3010, I was considering buying Optoma HD33 and was following Guitarman thread on the forum.
Have you done the panel alignment? Did it made any difference? I only accessed the service menu to find out how many times the projector is switched on and off, not properly shutdown etc..

Hi srenjith congrats on your buy and hope you are enjoying that...had a look through the pics you posted. Had a few questions. Did u buy your ps3 from the US? And how about the DVD/bluerays? I am wondering coz of the regional codes for DVDs that if u get a DVD from India you wouldn't be able to play that on the ps3 , right...and also do u still get all the other live and on demand services on the ps 3 like netflicks or maybe BBC iplayer etccc on the ps3 even if you use it in India...please pardon of I sound stupid...but I m actually thinking if it would really work buying a ps3 from uk to use in India...hope you can help...thanks.

Hi guys, now finally I have also decided to jump into the bandwagon of TW 6000. Have already placed order with Varay Image runner, Mumbai. They will get the PJ within 2 weeks. By the way, I work on ship and my ship is presently in Europe. I checked the price of TW 6000 in UK. Its far more than India and that too without global warranty. TW 5900 is available at 1000 pound but delivery takes about 2 weeks. I read reviews of TW 5900, it is great PJ for 1000 pound but I think it is not full 3D PJ, its only 3d ready. Also lumens and contrast ratio much less than TW 6000. I will be back in India in August and pick up PJ from Varay. Will keep you guys updated.

Manoj, if you are still around please can you help me how to get into the service menu? i have an epson tw-2000 i went through the avs link which was in your post ove rhte past two hours- couldnt get to the menu part.
help much appreciated. i have a pixel convergence issue on my projector
