Hathway goes HD in Bangalore??

Yeah, when there is no new software available, it can't download anything. It tries for very long and when it can't download, you will get that message which says unable to download.

PVR STB is from Technicolor(Previously called Thomson).

Call the head office 08049457800 and ask for Ulsoor office number.

I am a little unconvinced about failure to download. I suspect an act of commission or omission on the part of Hathway. Why waste customer's 20 minutes (per abortive, and probably redundant, attempt) when, like Microsoft or Apple or any smartphone, they can check the "header" to confirm if the installed software needs any update at all? And that would require seconds, not 20 minutes!

Any way, it looks like I am stuck with a "legacy" HD STB that I bought only a few months back. Hathway have confirmed that I cannot use a third party STB.

Ten Golf SD has become available for me. Although, its only an HD channel, the SD simulcast is available, just like History or TravelXP. I wonder if this is some temporary glitch or whether Ten Golf is no longer a subscription-only channel.

New packs are launched in Bangalore effective 1st April. Vajra package is now Royal package and it costs Rs25 more. Royal pack has Ten Golf, Movies Ok etc which were not available in Vajra.

All sorts of SD channels have been added such as Shop Direct, Home Theatre, Living Zen, Djay & Lamhe. But no signs at all of new HD channels. I wonder if it was a ploy to add more subscribers as I too renewed my HD subscription in March when my local guy mirrored the news on online forums that new HD channels would be added. The wait goes on...

Star World Premier HD is no longer an a la carte channel in Hathway. It is part of the HD package now.

No... Both channels are in SD only.. :-(
Even some of the channels are missing from above list..like Romedy Now, comedy central and some more..

If you don't mind can you please tell me in which part of Mumbai you live so that I can argue with my LCO who handles our area for Hathaway. It's real pity that we are still forced to remain with LCO & can't get direct connection from Hathaway. If we call Hathaway customer service for any kind of support they says "contact your LCO" & being treated like refugees though we are their customers. We can't even check or edit our account online on Hathaway website.. :-(

These problems are there since ages nobody listen your problems. That is the reason many customers shifting to dth.

I stay in South Mumbai.

I would suggest you put a strong email to Customer Care, Nodal Officer...details would be available on website....

Keep all communication documented...I checked with the collection guy for my area...the new connection is Rs 6050 which includes the box + HD + Royal pack for a year....

I even had to do some arm twisting with our area representatives to ensure smooth flow of services which I get now....

Star World Premiere being available in the regular HD pack is like the icing on top of the HD cake!

Does anyone know if it is still a subscription-only channel on other cable or DTH operators?
