HT with Music compatiable

Hi,
I always keep visiting this site but never posted a thread. This is my first thread.
I wanted to setup up a 7.1 HT in my hall.
Please suggest me a AVR and speakers or HTIB which has to be compatible to be used with regular Audio music.
I mean to say that I can watch movies and listen to song aswel.
My budget is around 40k.
Someone suggested me to use a floorstanding 3-way speaker instead of front L-R speakers.

Please Suggest.

Not to be sarcastic but you can Watch movies and listen to song on any odd system. The experience is what matters.

Good 7.1 Cost too Much and you will be perfectly happy with a 5.1.
40 K again is too low for a 5.1 system to be good for both Movies and Music.

But you can settle on Onkyo 3400 for , good for Movies and Okish for Music.

3 Way FS are good but good FS cost upwards of 50 K a pair.

You can split your purchase.
Go for AVR and FS first and then later purchase Sub , center and Surrounds.

Very difficult to find a decent AVR with 3 way FS speakers under 40k budget, unless you are ok with buying a used setup/demo setup.

Start reading other threads in the forum, so you may get an idea on brands, models and prices.
