Venue : Kens Hotel, SriNagar colony. (Map)
10 AM to 4 PM
Session 1 : 10 AM to 1 PM
(30 min for system placement and set up. Folks who are getting set up's can come at 9.30 AM)

1 to 1.30 PM : Lunch (this is not covered in the fee)

Session 2 : 1.30 PM to 4 PM

(Lots of delicate details which would reveal true indication of system's capability in presenting the nuances)

(Gives a good measure of sound stage of the speakers. In good speakers, the sound stage extends well beyond the speaker edges on both sides)

(Lovely presentation of Bass guitar)

Burn 1 audio CD : Stereorules

@stereorules - just want to confirm that if I bring my Cd's we can burn the test cd at the venue. I plan to be there by 9am to set up - what time do you plan to arrive? Also rest of the participants - please plan to contribute on the test tracks. IMO this is very important as one needs to have a base reference when comparing multiple systems. Just bring your favorite CD or tracks in WAV or other format - Stereorules please chip in here, not sure what formats can be burned onto a CD for CD playback - and we can get it on one CD that you can use to compare. Guys - I am excited to be part of the first ever Hyderabad HFV meet, hope you are all feeling it as well.

Sid - Talked to stereorules in the morning. What we can do is get lossless files (or CD's) and burn it on my PC. I will get some blank disks. I too can come around 9, so we can have this ready.

And you right about the excitement Cant wait for sunday.

So we have 12 confirmations so far.

We have couple of SBTs coming in but we need a wireless router to identify SQ difference between Streaming music and music via USB. I think without a wireless router SBTs will be of no use.

And regarding flacs, I have around 700 albums in flac. We can burn the required numbers on CD.

actually it does concern to burn a CD , as i guess it is never going to be perfect as the original CD. So lets get the original CD's, it does add to the manual task of inserting CD's in the player, but atleast we do not have another variable i.e. improperly burnt CD.

A few memory sticks of 1 or 2 GB would also be helpful. I hope this isn't an issue as I want "Gurus" attending this HFV meet pin point and tell me and other newbies live where and how a CD player beats SBT. I really want to feel he difference. I am looking forward for this meet to be an eye-opener to me. I know Anand is with me on thishyeah:

i'll get the wgr614 v9.. 54 M g router..

i have a v8 spare too but after you hard reset it.. you need a lan to make the initial setup.. however if we need 2 router.. i can get both of them.. lemme know..
