Hyderabad HFV meet ? Interest check

Thanks all the HFV members from Hyderabad for attending. We had a great time and learnt a few things as well. FWIW here are my impressions:
I was pleased with the Norge amp. and I think it sounded very good for its price.
The PSB's sounded very nice as well especially when fed with good recordings.
The Ushers, IMO had great dynamics and could go very loud cleanly but somehow they did not couple well with the room, or maybe the electronics. I have heard these speakers for over a month in my setup using different electronics and they sounded great.
Now coming to the paradigm S4 it is a superb speaker and performed admirably.
I have heard the 805's for over 5 years so no comments on that:lol:
I was impressed with the music hall equipment as well. The BADA amp., IMO was also a very good performer.
The squeezebox with or without a DAC did not impress me - but maybe a higher end DAC could make it sound better.
So overall we did have a decent mix of equipment from different price ranges and capabilities.

Thanx to all the guys who showed up ....In the end, it was a success on many fronts ....
Met with like minded people, listened to some fantastic songs on great equipment..
As I said earlier...a big THANK YOU to the 3 S's ...Sachin, Sameer and Sidvee ...without u guys, this wudnt have happened ..
As to the equipment .. I think there is a consensus among the guys that the B&W and Paradigm were probably the best on show ....Between them both, to choose, would probably require a detailed hearing ...Off the hand, bass was obviously more in the Paradigm ..

What I missed in this meet --- Would have loved some senior guys to explain some of the "audiophile" terms ....Maybe in the next meet ....

Before I forget, like in the F1's and IPL and fashion shows, there was an after-party (well, something like that) ..but not many attended ....So maybe next time we can have more participation in that too ...

Yes definitely -we need more participation here next time. I really needed a stiff drink after listening to Eagles - hotel calif. about 20 times:lol:

Thanks to you Ironhorse for clicking away all the photos and for bringing and letting us listen to all those portable equipment (Sansa clip+,Cowon mp3 players and several earphones and headphones).. Blasto's audio technica sounded great as well.. thanks to him too.

It was an "awesome event" and truly overwhelming. I am sure the next meets gonna be more fun and entertaining.

I missed the second session to do a toubleshooting at the office nearby.

Meanwhile cant wait to check the pics.
