I get many PM message asking how to wind the coil for inductors and how to calculate the number of turns to be wound. Instead of replying individually thought i could share a very good link for simulating the inductance of the coil.

Mark 2 - Inductor Sim

Remember to always use SWG (Standard Wire Guage) wire size and not AWG(American Wire Guage) while simulating the inducatance. Also remember the inductance simulated could vary from the actual value by +/- 5% and hence it is very important that you measure the final value of the winded wires using a LCR meter. If the inductor value differs from the actual value you could introduce unwanted phase shifts in the cross-over which can cause you to loose detial in the sound signature.

Cheers,
Hari.
