I do have a few;
I try them all.
a]
SilenCable / Heavens Gate Audio - Same Owner makes this cable & the loudspeaker - Mr. C.K.
b]
Acrolink S8000 [Esoteric Company] Japan - Purest Copper that can ever be used.
c]
Bertram Audio - Denmark - Silver & Copper [mix] 2 runs are of different materials.
Between A / B / C I prefer C - so I am using C [best to my ears] !

Hope to finish it by Jan end.

Yes;
Got a CEC CD Transport / CD Player only yesterday.
Shall get a few pics & post soon.
The Computer too has changed.
Not working - will get it sorted soon.
Now, I have a new machine with HD Plex Chassis - all new internal components & a LPS [Linear Power Supply] - will get it all up & working soon.
But the only change constant is 'change' !
Always working to get better sound...

Hi Bhagwan,

Just noticed that you have placed some sort of room treatment panel next to the amps.
What design are these panels - I assume they are located behind the speakers.

Regards.

This is DIY
Work in Progress.
Trial & Error.
I have a slight bass drone on some tracks.
Trying to work around it.
Basically by speaker does not have a port but an 'air vent' & that vent
sends out a lot of energy & that is what we are trying to control.
Lets see how it goes.
:D

Congrats Bhagwan on the CEC. Curious on thoughts with belt driven mechanism.

Wonder how any proprietary/popular and accepted CD transport mechanisms are out there?

CD's as a format are on their way out - therefore CD Transports are becoming rare.

The Esoteric has stopped selling to many CD Player makers.
CD's not available in Mumbai - No Store i.e.

Therefore the chance of getting innovative players is very rare.
Forsell from Sweden was the best I ever heard.. Rare. Air Floating CD Transport. Super it was...

Bhagwan, you've had the best of CD players and PC based transports. Would like you to compare the two types of sources.

Well, I used to be a 100 % CD person.
Always had 2 + CD Players in my rig at any point in time.
Have been through 10 ++ CD Players that cost 10/- K USD's ++
However, 5 years back when computer audio equaled or improved on my cd players I switched.
Never looked back.
However, several audiophile friends of mine are still on the CD band wagon.
They keep singing the praise of CD Players.
Well actually, the computer is not reliable. One day it decides just not to work. Therefore I got this as a 'stand by' so I am not left without music.
Besides, Western Classical to find on a computer is very difficult. Spinning the CD is easy.
Currently my computer is not working for the past 40 ++ days = therefore the CD Player is being put through its paces. Fun of sorts if you ask me.

The New Computer with LPS got started.
The Chassis is :-
HDPLEX H5 Fanless Computer Case - HDPLEX INC
The LPS is :-
HDPLEX Fanless 300W ATX Linear Power Supply with Modular ATX Output
I have a J Cat Card [USB] & that is :- [400]
JCAT – reference computer audio accessories | JPLAY
I also got the J Cat USB Cable - Dual - 2.0M:- [500]
All this is connected.
I use J River & J Play [both cab be used]
I have the music on a NAS & on a Dedicated PC [16 TB]
All the 'tuning' & 'tweaking' is in progress.
Fun times.
Rajiv - Nature Lover was over for a listen. I am sure he will post his impressions soon.
This new machine is surely a step in the right direction. The sound has improved. Lower Noise Floor. Great 'speed' & 'relaxed' feel [flow is super] !
Will keep all posted.

Hi bhagwan
So essentially its a 3 PC setup

If you don't mind can you let us know what NAS are you using and do you use any special pcie to USB card or use USB ports of the motherboard and use a USB regenerator?

Thanks

PS just read your post again and it's clearly written by you that you now use a jcat USB card. Reading on a mobile is tricky :)
Did you try powering the USB with 5 volt? Can try a normal battery bank for experimenting
