The Valvo Tube - 6922 - what body on female vocal - the make vocal has such a lot of 'rasp' it is simply super...

I still have 2 more sets of 6922's to try.
Just so happy with this one - in no mood to switch....

My amp uses Electro-Harmonix 6922s in its pre section. Those Valvo 6922 tubes sound interesting (pun not intended). I hadn't heard about them before. The more I read about them...

Are those cushions on the subwoofer filled with lead shot or sand, or something like that to add weight on the subwoofer? They aren't sagging (and don't look heavy).

I have made those; Light & Dark Green 'boxes'
They are made of Ply Wood.
Lead Sheet & then Artificial Sand filled.
Wrapped with heatlon & then covered with real leather.
They are used in different places.
Nothing is right or wrong.
We are just playing with it - some diy experiment.
Lets see how it plays out.

Oh, OK! You've made them pretty neatly. That's why they don't look like filled deadweight, heh, heh! Do they help tighten the bass further?

Its been 10 ++ days since the audio set up was up & running. After the room was painted / polished / art shuffled / new power lines etc.
Had a few 'trusted' audio friends over;
Did some 'serious' listening...
Speakers [only right] & Listening Chair was 'moved' [just a wee bit]
I think / feel the set up is playing good. I am satisfied.
The J Play 6 on 2 Computers via USB to Meitner MA-1 & then to AM Hiend Pre & Power to Velodyne SPL 800i & Tidal Amea Diacera is playing as 'one' !!
I truly believe that the sound I have at my house now is as good as I have managed in a long [really long] time.
Any fellow FM that would like to come for a listen is most welcome. My doors are open.

Build Quality & Fit / Finish of the speaker cable is top class.
First time for me - out of the box it was better than my Silencable
Symphony Speaker Cable.

After 'burn = in' I wonder what will happen.
For a Retail of 6200/- [USD] this is not cheap - but an excellent cable none the less...

Bertram Ultima Power Cord being re-installed into the chain.
This is to give power to the Meitner MA1 DAC !

The Amare Music Diamond Server too is ready for installation.
Will work on connecting it this week.
That will use a Power Cord from Taiwan - Telos Audio Design - Brenda Model - I think..
Shall post pictures after installation is completed.
