No...i'm already using it. It allows us to select 4K but TV chipset can't play them and stutters because lack of vp9 hardware decoding as i mentioned above. Max quality youtube uses in H264 format is 1440p. All 4K videos use vp9 compression in youtube

I would suggest whoever planning to buy Mi TV4 to invest another 12k and get a Nvidia shield TV. You can get everything out of the box with support for 4k. You can forget about formats and resolutions as shield will take care of it. 40k TV +12k Nvidia shield is a deadly combo
Yes i am aware of that. I asked this because of a recent review on flipkart. So i am asking Mi TV owners if they received any update recently.:

Only Hotstar app was added in a server side update. There wasn't any firmware update since a month.
Looks like that Dude got excited seeing a 4K logo. It simply isn't possible in Youtube. Flagship devices like Nvidia sheild TV also failed to do that feat of supporting Youtube HDR.

Each panel varies with each other. Start calibrating by keeping the TV in movie mode
Dynamic contrast and Dynamic Color- OFF
(Dynamic contrast blowing away highlights in HDR video and Dynamic color produces weird colors, So both should be set to off)
Then keep the backlight setting according to u'r room light(For a single tube light - Backlight at 45 for SDR video with adaptive Backlight(ABL) ON works for me. **Backlight should be always 100 for HDR video in any TV)
Start calibrating brightness, contrast, color of u'r panel using AVS HD 709 patterns and share here. I'm not sharing my settings yet because it would affect u'r decision because each panel differs.

anybody has experience for purchase MI TV 55 inch from MI india for Delivery, Installation and after sale service. is it better than Flipkart. As I have experience with Jeeves for installation and they are careless people. I am worry because this is very delicate product.

MI TV 4S launched in China. It's a 55" 4k HDR panel with Direct LED backlighting. Hope they bring this to India also

MI TV delivered yesterday by flipkart and installation was done same day. Picture quality is good, but sound is ok. ok.
1. IR cable is not include by flipkart. need to follow up with flipkart?
2. Please help for picture calibration.
