Preventing Subwoofer Rattling

I have an idea...if your subwoofer is front fired...then turn it to wall(put the port towrads the wall)...it will give reflected bass which will not be powerful enough to cause the door to rattle...but maintain some distance between the wall so that required bass will reach you...since you reflect the sound's exposed volume by reflection..so higher frequncy bass will attenuate where as lower freq wave will reach you...just try to see the difference...may it help u...if this doesnt work...and parallely u dont want to change the cross over..then put paper below the door..and try to pull it hard so that the door remains in tight contact with floor...
