Congratulations. Happy Viewing. I too imported a Plasma TV from the US thru Amazon last September. The Packing was extra bulky to prevent damage to the screen and so I got my Samsung PN51F8500 in good condition

How much did you pay for PN51F8500 ? Will Samsung India give warranty for imported items ? I could see from Amazon.com that it is priced at $3500 which is equivalent to buying 64F8500 in India.

Hi, actually the price I brought at Amazon offer was US$ 1800/- excluding taxes. And shipped it to Kochi thru shopUSA. But I didn't realize that the packing was extra bulky, to protect the plasma screen. That made the volumetric weight very high. My freight costs came up to another US$ 745/-. W So the total with 31 % duty came up to around US$3300/- CIF Kochi.
