Please refer this pic,hole size is 10mm.I will also need B1 holes close to input/output as I am not going to use input selector.

I think do not make the hole near the transformer. Better to make near to face because there PS output is purest we can get there and we need not take those near transformer again. Better make it where output of PS is. Transformer side is input to PS

sachins pc that you see was the first prototype i made just to see how things turn out

i wanted to make and post the prototype so people know what theyre getting into
so there are no false notions etc etc

Sachin, what is the purpose of the XLR-type connector? Is it power supply
for an external CNC phono?
If so, consider moving it to the other side rear of the cabinet at the rear, after the
output RCA jacks, to keep the power supply output wires clear of
the AC input/transformer.

Yes it is for CNC,I will move it to the other side.

note : to the heatsink cab buyers
what if i use the same heatsink i am using in the PASS F5 amp
lay both side by side in the front FACE = so you have a 14 inch wide front face of HEAT sink that is 3 inches high

i believe this would dissipate easily quite a bit of heat
the cab will look like a krell/levinson type power amp
however there may not be any room for knobs

the reason i say the above is because i may have 6 inch sink or so of the pass F5 heatsink left over

hence if you plan to use them as side walls - your cab will be only 7 inch deep

At LAST

the build for group buy on the PASS B1 cabs has finally taken shape
(i have been very busy for a couple weeks with my regular business - hence the long delay)

MAterial arrived a week ago
Aluminium plates were rough cut ( shearing mc )
Plates were flattened ( levelled)
side milling is done to size
Drilling was completed an hour ago ( there are close to 76 holes per CAB!- marking out and drilling each is not easy)
Countersinking is done where required
Spikes have been machined and ready
Volume control knobs - have are done the other half are being machined on lathe

Rear panel IEC and switch cutout will be done by thursday
Front Face extra grinding will be done by friday ( this extra process over and above the brush finish is done only for the front plate to get rid of all scratches )
ALL plates will leave for final brush finish and silver anodise by friday

i have one doubt though
the Ip selector hole is drilled 5.5mm dia
hope that is fine by all
this dimn was selected since i dont know who is using a toggle and who is using a rotary dial

also i have provided phono stage and IP selector board holes for all incase someone decides to upgrade to one of those items later

I'm very much interested to pick up this cabinet for my class D amp. The length and depth (12"X10") are OK but the massive R core requires a 3U internal height (3.5"). Can you do something?:sos:

yep i can give you exotic wooden sides like the patek amp
but thats not the issue here
you wont be able to use the pass B1 cab for your build - what about all the holes that are drilled on the face plate and rear plate according to the B1
