I am still considering both BIC 1220 and Velodyne Impact 10.
BIC Unit Price: 14,900.00 (including shipping)
Customs Duty: Rs 4,172.00
Total: Rs 19,072.00

Velodyne Impact 10: Rs. 21500 including shipping (bus transport)

Don't know which one would be better considering that BIC has bigger driver while Velodynes are from specialists in sub.
BIC would take atleast 10-15 days but I can get the other one in 2 days (yes I am a little impatient)

BTW what is the diwali discount code??

Hi spiro/kittu,

The USD-INR rate is slowly coming down. BIC V1020 may hit 10 k hopefully in the coming days. I have PMed darshan on how is going after he has switched to 220 v. Kind of scared to buy since it is an active sub and my place is having voltage issues day in day out.

Thanks,
Antony

There is a switch inside it to change the input voltage to 220v but it is purposefully hidden to avoid confusions; since most of them are sold in US. You just have to open the enclosure to gain access to the switch. No other technical tweaking required. This is confirmed by Darshan the other day. The manual explains how to do it.

I am not in a rush, might buy a sub when BLR dealers launch emi scheme with 0% interest and no hidden charges. ;)

Hi,
I could listen BIC 1020 sub @ Darshan's place.Let me tell you that its still new so cant say abt perfect review.
1st impression-
He has a pioneer stereo amp connected speaker A to Energy Towers & Speaker B to sub, then to energy BS surrounds.

When we played music,BIC SW could integrate well will surrounds with no added extra effect.Bass was closed to 50Hz.
Then we shifted to Towers w/o sub & well burnt in Towers were going deeper than BIC.The were easily touching 40Hz.

I touched BIC moving driver & it was tight.I hope it can move better as times is spent.
With movies it is yet to perform its best, may few weeks can tell better.

Its good VFM sub though.

Is this for all subs bought from US or only the BICs?

I bought the Polk PSW10 as it has the highest reviews and 4.5 rating. Somehow compared to my Polk, left, right, center - it is disappointing - maybe I am not smart enough to set it up properly
