DIY Audio Rack Made From Teak Wood & Plywood

Good and simple design. But I am suspecting "Sway" in the final product. No matter if you are not using the top shelf for turntable.

My Source will be CD Player / Mobile. I don't have a turn table. I have used screws so that it can be dismantelled if there is a need for transportation.

Its very difficult to glue the laminate specially where there are curves. I would recommend to first glue the laminate on borders of plywood, flush them and later glue the laminate on top.

I have to take help of Carpenter to glue the laminate on borders and flush them. I already glued the laminate on top so now it is difficult for me to flush the borders.

Thank you Kannan. There are very few peoples in India on a DIY way. And my intensions are to share my ideas and difficulties which I face during my built so that it can be easy for someone who is on the same track. And I think each and everyone of us who has built something with a DIY way should share his ideas and difficulty he has faced so that everyone can learn from it.

Further Update.

Got the Pillars yesterday, routed them and checked the assembly. It's a Perfect Fit. No ups and downs its completely even on all corners.

Below are some assembly photos.

Sadik

I got a chance to see these beauty, work in progress version. Its was a treat to see the DIY efforts put down by Mr Sadik

Thanks Justin. It was my pleasure you took out your time to visit my place. It was great to meet you personally.

Well Happy New Year Sadik and others looking at this thread. Should you go for a dust cover using cloth/ rexin. Useful against dust and water in case of floor cleaning.

Thank you Mr. Sanjiv & wish you the same. I dont think anyone has ever made a cover for audio rack. Yes I have seen covers for Turn Tables but not yet seen any for Pre Amps, Amps Cd Players etc...

Sadik, one question, so you used teak for the 4 pillars and plywood for the trays right?

If I drill additional 3-4 holes on the pillars near every current position of rack so that moderate height adjustment of trays are possible in future would it make the pillars weak?

Also what about dust covers? I mean I saw another FM also asked, for me where I stay on one side there is a playground and opposite side a railway station, both source of uninterrupted dust supply. Individual covers are fine but I am looking for some additional ideas.
