Fans of Television Series

Black Bird (Apple TV+): Based on true events.
A drug dealer is offered a way out of jail if he can get a serial killer lodged in another prison to spill the beans on where he's buried his victims.
Episode and a half in. Gripping and pretty intense. Some stellar acting. Very, very highly recommended!
Yes indeed, next episodes have been even more gripping. after having seen so many different portrayals of serial killers you would think there was no way to do it differently, but somehow Hauser portrays creepy and poignant at the same time - amazing acting.

Five Days at Memorial (Apple TV+): Based on real-life events surrounding Hurricane Katrina that hit New Orleans in 2005. Set in Memorial hospital, this is a well-made, pretty intense drama. Three episodes available.

Wonderful acting, headlined by Vera Farmiga and an absolutely brilliant audio mix with dynamics and immersion that gives you the feeling of being right in the middle of it all. Cinematography to match the quality of the rest of the production. Highly recommended!

Watched it! A refreshing change! Quintessential British fare! Don't Miss Kinda Stuff!

Excellent performances by Gary Oldman & Kristin Scott Thomas!
Pulsating thriller that starts slow but gets frenetic.
Another series I watched is "Severance" - mindbending and suspenseful. The minimalistic and somewhat hospital like interior of the "office" is pretty scary and adds to the creepiness of the show.

Watched/Watching 4-5 things right now

1. Loot - Apple tv+ - Hated it - Such a promising concept don't know if you have watched the malaamal hindi movie from childhood...I was expecting something similarly fun but they botched it imo
2. Boys S03 - Amazon - Loving it - Read the comics - The show is completely different much less darker but still a lot of fun - Actors are just another level
3. Drive to survive - Netflix - Loving it - Have been trying to get in F1 since childhood but always found it too boring - The first 1.5 seasons of this has been really appealing - Planning to watch the first 4 and then see a couple of races to see if I can get into it with a better idea of the backstory
4. Saas Bahu aur Achaar - Hotstar? - Good - First 3 to 4 episodes were really good they couldn't end with a bang IMO - Some very strong performances
5. Sharmaji Namkeen Movie - Dont know where I saw this - Really good - Very strong lead actors and a clean childhood kind of movie with Indian roots not like the current bollywood movies

Five Days At Memorial (Apple TV+): Based on real-life events. As Hurricane Katrina sweeps through New Orleans in 2005, doctors, nurses and patients are effectively trapped in a local hospital.

What happens on those 5 harrowing days and the post-mortem of choices made along the way ("there were only terrible choices") is the subject of this incredibly gripping series. First-class acting, wonderfully immersive audio mix that's yet another thumbs up for streaming audio quality and moments of jaw-dropping cinematography. Questions of morality in times of extraordinary disaster aren't easily resolved, as this series shows. Very highly recommended!

(The audio for the flooding at the start of the second episode is to die for.)
