Did anyone try the new Saregama releases of Kishore, Lata, Asha , Rafi greatest hits ? Any idea about their SQ ?

Did anyone try the new Saregama releases of Kishore, Lata, Asha , Rafi greatest hits ? Any idea about their SQ ?

Some friends bought those and they were not happy. According to them SQwise those records are bad. Perhaps Saregama has used digital master to produce those records.

Was hearing Rolling Stones '30 Greatest Hits' This is a 1977 German pressing by 'Arcade Records'. While it includes the classic hits like "Ruby Tuesday" and others, the recording quality was not liked by me. Also on play was Louis Armstrong 'Greatest Hits'. This is a Gramophone Company of India pressing. While the sound is in simulated stereo, I discovered , much to my chagrin, that abroad it is sold as a 2 LP set, while here this was a single LP with half the songs !
On another note , Satyaki's 45 rpm EP collection looks truly superb. In the seventies, an SP and EP cost less than ₹8/- & ₹14/- respectively. A fair amount in those days!

I just got a new jimi hendrix experience vinyl. The clarity and separation is amazing but lacks the energy/rawness of old vinyls in my opinion

Amar Prem: All time classic. I purchased the EP for ₹14/- way back in early seventies. Sadly lost to the Lord of Time. All songs were classics, as also the dialogues. Thanks Satyaki, for the memories

Songs are of better quality. This Classics Forever CD series comprises extra music. The possible reason could be all CDs remastered by Pancham Studios, Bhuvneswar by Debasish Mahapatra are of excellent quality. He himself is an ardent music fan and understands audio very well. Probably he used better sources and master for audio reproduction. A few CDs like Tumse Milke, Double CD pack, Bullet Train, all classics forever series. Kishore Kumar and Mohd Rafi Down Memory Lane (compilations) are to name a few

As I wish all members a very Colourful Holi, its time for the all time Holi classics from Bollywood. Mother India , Silsila, Dushman and many other films come to mind for their memorable Holi songs.. That's exactly what I will do. Play them.

I have so much of fond memories listening to this record and Kraftwerk Man Machine as a kid.

I was so elated to find one in mint condition at a record store in Germany. A very obscure album. This is turning out to be a nostalgic Sunday.
