I recently bought a Marantz M-CR603 Network CD Receiver which replaced my Marantz PM5004 Amplifier. The upgrade was due to fact that the CD receiver offered a lot of features including build in DAC, USB input etc and with the hope that this will dramatically increase the SQ but i think that my PM5004 was better in terms of SQ :sad: ... Now i think that adding a Sub woofer may improve the SQ (M-CR603 have Subwoofer output as well
) and i am in the market for a entry level Sub. May be under 20k.
After some research , i fond these 2 models would be a good choice. Polk PSW 110 or Boston Acoustics ASW 250.I think Profx offers Polk PSW 110 for around 17 k and Hi-fi mart sells Boston Acoustics ASW 250 for 18900. I don't think i have a lot of choice in this price range. Which would be better ? Any other suggestions?
Forgot to mention - I am using Pioneer BS-22 Andrew Jones with my Marantz M-CR603 Network CD Receiver .
