Did you order these from Acoustic Sounds and have them shipped to India? Their shipping prices seemed way too steep last I checked.

I have ordered from mofi and my experience was bad. Ordered 2 LPs total cost was 132 USD, customs and other charges came up to 8k. So don’t order anything through DHL or UPS. Charges are way high.Thanks but I have the record. I was just curious if people in India actually order from Acoustic Sounds given how expensive their shipping is

I only buy on discogs, amazing global records catalogue especially if you are interested in buying audiophile records from Analogue productions, Acoustic sounds, Speakers corner etc...There are sellers in Europe who will give free shipping if you buy for a certain min amount eg. 150 EUR. The total cost in rupees has always been cheaper in comparison to buying in India, for me the math works out to be min two additional records for the same amount I would spend in India

Patricia Barber's Cafe Blue is one of my favorite albums (CDs) as I have in on an HDCD 24K Gold disk. Really clean sounding CD without the digital harshness. That said, I'm quite sure the vinyl version is exquisite.
It is . Inalso have it on all formats . The vinyl beats everything to dust
Discogs seller have this problem of payment on paypal . Hardly anyone accepts cards which is a pain.

Today it was Bandini and Tere Surat Mere Anken, two films on one LP. "Mera Gora Ang Laile" and "Pucho na kaise Maine" are classics, not to forget " Nache man Mora" which Mohd Rafi vocalised so well. A great LP.

Yesterday it was Dosti, with its iconic "Mere Dosti Mera Pyar" ,Mohd Rafi at his glorious best and "Gudiya kab tak roothe Rahoge", and others. The second LP was Madhumati. "Dil tarap tarap ke", " Suhana Safar," "Zulmi sang aankh Ladi" takes one back in time.

After a long time took out my copy of Micheal Jackson ' Thriller'. A superb dynamic LP which brings out his best, " The Girl is Mine",(with Paul McCartney), "Billie Jean", "Beat It" were all chart toppers. Still a nice listen.
The second LP was Olivia Newton John ' Have You Never Been Mellow'. A decent Gramaphone Company of India recording. With a fine collection of songs including " Please Mr Please" and " Goodbye Again", this fine country oriented singer was best remembered for the movie ' Grease'. Your voice will be missed ,lady. RIP.
